Rembrandt Series Pinot Noir- Release October 2013
Pinot noir is a black wine grape variety of the species Vitis vinifera. Derived
from the French words for "pine" and "black," the name alludes to the variety's tightly clustered dark purple pine cone-shaped bunches of fruit. Our Pinot was cultivated in the Burgundy Noir style,
which is the original French version of this varietal, resulting in a dark, intense flavor. Grown at a higher elevation, on the hillsides of De Luz, California, the grapes mature at a slower rate.
Our winemaker has carefully selected the best yeast for the final preparation of our wine, with results that are rich and complex to the palate. We feel we have truly captured what can be described
as an award-winning Pinot. With a limit of 264 cases for 2013.
